Mark graduated 1st Class Honours in Quantity Surveying from Napier University, Edinburgh in 1993 and followed this with a Masters degree in Construction Project Management at Heriot-Watt University.  Mark joined the Practice in 1994, achieving full professional status in 1997.  After 6 years in Invergordon, Mark relocated to manage the Inverness Office, becoming a Partner in 2004 with responsibility for Quantity Surveying/Cost Manager, Project Management and CDM Advisor Services from this office base.

Mark has considerable experience in all forms of Construction Contracts, specifically NEC / JCT / SBCC / Partnering.  Mark currently acts as Cost Manager and Project Manager on behalf of HIE under a Prime Consultancy framework which the Practice has successfully delivered over the last 10 years across HIE’s diverse geographical area.

Mark is a fully qualified member of the Association for Project Safety.

Nick recently retired as Partner after 31 years with the Practice but continues to be a key member of our team working as a Consultant to Torrance Partnership covering all aspects of Quantity Surveying & Project Management.

Nick covers a wide range of projects and serves an extensive client base including Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Enterprise Companies as well as Private Developers including many within the hotels and tourism industries.  He is also qualified to carry out CDM Advisor Services following completion of the APS Principal Designer Course.

Nick is actively involved with the Round Table and as a past President of the UK enjoys all aspects of participation in this global organisation. 

Graeme joined the Practice in 2004 and is based in the Inverness Office.  As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Graeme is involved in the day to day running of various projects throughout the Highlands & Islands.

​

Graeme has extensive experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying, gained from being involved in many diverse projects in the three companies to date.  

​

Graeme has specific knowledge and experience in Building Conservation Work and actively leads the Practices interest in this particular field. 

John is based in the Stornoway Office and is involved in all aspects of post-contract monitoring and supervision work throughout the Western Isles.  He achieved Chartered Builder status through Inverness College in 1997 and around the same time became a Member of the Association for Project Safety.  In 2005 he was he was awarded the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.

Outwith his day job, John has been a retained firefighter with the Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service since September 1977 and is currently the Officer in Charge of the busy two-pump Station in Stornoway.

Mark joined the Practice in 2014 and is based in the Inverness Office.  As a Quantity Surveyor, Mark works on a variety of projects throughout the Highlands & Islands.

Mark is currently working towards becoming a full member of the RICS undertaking a programme of accredited training and experience within the Practice.

Susan joined the Practice 2017 as Secretary/Admin Assistant, with extensive experience in the administration field.  Susan moved into the role of Office Manager in 2021, operating from the Invergordon Office and is responsible for the administrative team and all administrative activities required within the Practice.
